About Blake
I’m Blake, an emerging Wollongong photographer building my portfolio locally.
I’m Blake, a photographer based in Wollongong. I started taking photos while travelling in Canada in 2020, and that interest grew through visual arts, creative arts literature and my current Diploma of Photography studies.
Right now, I’m building my photography business by working with local people, small businesses, tradies, fitness brands, families, bands and events across Wollongong and the Illawarra.
My style is natural, candid and practical. I like working with natural light, outdoor locations, local settings and real moments. I do not currently run a studio, so outdoor shoots, beach sessions, business locations and relaxed environments are a strong fit. Indoor shoots can still be discussed depending on the space, light and what you need.
Every shoot starts with a conversation. I like to understand what the photos are for, compare ideas and help plan a direction before we start.

Every shoot is quoted individually, so we can work out what suits the job, the location, the time involved and the images you need delivered. A good fit for small businesses, families and creatives who want professional photos without jumping straight into a premium commercial photography budget.
I focus on photos that feel real. That could be a tradie working on-site, a gym owner coaching a client, a family walking along the beach or a band mid-performance. The goal is images that look professional without feeling stiff or forced.
For business clients, the photos need to do a job. They should help your website, socials and marketing show what you do and make your business feel more trustworthy online.
Before the shoot, I’ll chat through your ideas, location, references and what the photos are for. If it helps, I can create a mood board so we are on the same page before the shoot. This keeps the process clear and low-pressure.

A simple process from first idea to final images.
01 Send through an enquiry
Tell me a little about the shoot you have in mind. Include the shoot type, location, preferred date or timeframe, what the photos will be used for and any ideas or references you already have.
02 We talk through what you need
I’ll follow up by text, call or message so we can work out what you need, what the photos are for and what kind of direction makes sense.
03 We compare ideas and plan the shoot
You can bring inspiration, examples or references. I can put together a simple mood board so we can agree on the style, location and creative direction before the shoot.
04 The shoot takes place
The shoot is kept relaxed and practical. Depending on the job, we might capture natural portraits, work-in-progress shots, team images, family moments, gig coverage or a mix of useful images.
05 Final images are delivered online
Final high-quality JPEG images are delivered by Dropbox within approximately two weeks from the shoot date.
